Saturday, June 28, 2009 – Movie in the Park – featuring KUNG FU PANDA. See a movie in the great outdoors for FREE. Memorial Park Field – Movie starts at dusk. Recreation Board provides a concession stand with family friendly prices! Bring blankets or lawn chairs and the whole family to enjoy the movie. Free popcorn for all movie goers! Event will move to the borough hall's community center (former elem. school gym) in the event of bad weather. Movie will start indoors at 8pm.

Saturday, July 11, 2009 Frackville Townwide Yardsale – Come and shop throughout the whole town during the Townwide Sale. Look for the Balloons! At least 80 + participants in the community. Those who want to register can download and complete the registration form. $7 to register per household address. Registrants will receive a yard sale kit. Maps available online on Friday.

July 16, 2009 Concert In the Park – Band TBA – Family Swim $1 plus live music and concession. 6-8pm. Memorial Park and Community Pool.

JULY 25, 2009 - CHRISTMAS IN JULY DANCE AND RAFFLE

A new fundraiser to support Frackville Holiday events and Christmas Parade will be held at the Elk’s. The raffle includes over 50 great prizes. Calendars will cost $15 and includes the raffle, free t-shirt, live entertainment by Karp-Palina-Swartz and Friends Plus special appearance by Tomosius K.  with local hometown artists. BBQ and variety of finger foods— All drinks (alcohol/non-alcohol) not included in admission/raffle price – Cash bar at the Elk’s. To get more info, email or call a Recreation Board member. (You do not have to be present to win the raffle but come out and dance, eat and drink for a great evening.) Sponsored by the Frackville Recreation Board and Yuengling Brewery.

August 7, 2009 Frackville Community Day – Memorial Field – 1-8pm – Join your community in celebrating the various civics groups, police department, crime watch program, ambulance, and fire companies. Learn what local community programs are out there at this day-long event.
